Welcome to GeoJikuu, an open-source Python library crafted for advanced geospatial analysis. GeoJikuu seamlessly integrates with any Python environment and is particularly optimised for use with Pandas DataFrames in Jupyter Notebooks, providing a powerful toolkit for spatial and spatiotemporal data manipulation and analysis.
Currently in its alpha stage, GeoJikuu already offers robust functionalities for calculating spatial and spatiotemporal descriptive statistics, performing spatial and spatiotemporal aggregation, and conducting spatial and spatiotemporal hypothesis testing. Presently, we are working towards the release of GeoJikuu v1.0, anticipated later in 2024, which will introduce additional modules and enhancements to existing features.
In parallel with the v1.0 release, we will be launching an improved official website with comprehensive documentation, including in-depth theoretical coverage of the underlying algorithms, such as Moran's I and Getis-Ord Gi*. Our aim is to provide users with the tools and knowledge needed to leverage GeoJikuu's full potential. In the meantime, please explore our preliminary documentation and stay tuned for more updates as we continue to develop and expand GeoJikuu.
